Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Son to a Brazilian father and a Spanish mother. Glaucco Ginard showed interest in music from a young age. His grandfather and uncle were guitarists Bolero and Bossa Nova, respectively.

At twelve years old, GG began his studies with private lessons in classical guitar with the renowned professor Paulo Pugialli. This being a pivotal moment in his passion for music.

After months studying guitar, GG enters the School of Music Villa-Lobos. Where he studied music theory for almost 3 years. Simultaneously studying drums with the master Bituca, from the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra.

In 1988, a teenage GG, formed the Ginard Band. On vocals and drums himself, his brother Alessandro Ginard on guitar, and his cousin Marcello Nicolau on bass. They played original songs.

GG was invited to be the singer of many more bands, for example, SnowPie and Silent. Also tribute projects in the 90’s, he created the Whitesnake To Be Continued and Best Friends.

In 2006 he moved to Europe. Today residing in Spain.
From there, he travels to many countries in the world. Singing and playing electric guitar with an internationally diverse band called Free Up.

In winter, he advantageously uses his time to write his own songs. Motivated by old friends who tirelessly requested of him an album, GG recently finished his first record. Glaucco Ginard – GG First Time.

He plans to write four more albums. Allowing their connections to become a novel.

The first album, GG First Time, is available now. This album includes a song written on the island of Zanzibar, Tanzania. Birthplace to Freddie Mercury. GG dedicates this happy song to all his friends from Africa. The song is called, Never Felt Like This. With Swahili right in the chorus. The album also includes a bonus track in Spanish, Yo Nunca Me Sentí Así.

Glaucco Ginard keeps writing, currently GG Second Half. Soon GG Third Step, GG Fourth Tempo and finally, GG Five Stars.

So Far So Near

The 1st song of the album GG First Time. This is a different version recorded and filmed with my friends Mario Virgilio “the Italian bass player” and Fabian Ivachich from Argentina on drums. This arrangement was made to be played live with 3 or 4 musicians only. We were recording the drums at Lenteja Music Studios. Guitars and vocals at The GG Home Studio and the bass in Virgilio’s house.

I’d like to thank:

Mrs. Tere Agueda Pascual. Who filmed and edited this beauty takes once more.

My Cousins: Angela Garcias and Sebastian Ginard for giving the opportunity of making this awesome video clip in their fields down under a beautiful sunset.

My friend and master, Miquel Figuerola: for opening his room mastering to me.
